At least seven people have lost their lives in Germany as a result of the powerful “Xavier” storming the northeast, reports “Euronews:
Civil Emergency officials have declared a state of emergency in some areas including Berlin, while people have been advised not to leave their homes until the R.C. has left.
Windstorms reaching 115km an hour have caught thousands of travelers to eastern and northern Germany by surprise.
At least 400 passengers on a speeding train following the route from Amsterdam to Berlin were evacuated.
Even a passenger plane from Emirates with 500 passengers on board faced powerful winds as he sat at the airport. The pilot tried to keep the situation under control despite severe shocks before reaching the ground.
