European Parliament MP Ulrike Lunacek, during a conference today in Pristina, has called for the Agreement on Demarketing with Montenegro to be approved in the Parliament as a condition set by the European Union for visa liberalisation.
Lunacek has called for this matter to end because according to her, every citizen has the right to move freely.
She said that stopin' for visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens own the Parliament's deputies.
I would like to call on everyone in the Kosovo Assembly to ratify the demarcation with Montenegro”, she said.
She also said that no time should be wasted in this direction, as things in the European Union can change.
“I call on Kosovo Assembly deputies to reach 2/3 of the votes because time is running. If you look at the way the EU is going, hundreds of people come from countries where there is war in the Middle East and we have many parties that don't want migration and refugees. This is the atmosphere that could in the future affect Kosovo. You have to use this opportunity because this door can shut you down. You have to do it now because it's about citizens' rights to move freely”, she said.
