Three lions rescued a 12-year-old girl in Etip, who was kidnapped by some people who wanted to force her to marry.
The men had kept the girl for a week in the southwest of the country, beating her constantly before the lions followed.
“They stood guard for the whole day until the police and the family found him and then left him as a gift”, said Sergeant Wondimu Wedrau in the province of Kefa, past albeu.com.

If the lions hadn't come then it could have been much worse. Often these young girls are raped and severely beaten to force them to accept marriage,” he said.
Stuart Williams, an expert on wild animals with the rural development ministry, said the girl was likely preserved because she was crying.

The girl was “shocked and terrified” and had to be treated for beatings and psychological conditions, SgtWndimu said.
He said police had caught four of the men, but were still looking for three more
