As the community defence organisations LGBTI in Kosovo have first organised the Crenare Parade in Pristina, which will be held on October 10th, this has embarrassed Pristina chairmanial candidates.
Insander has contacted all mayoral candidates. Some have responded and some have not.
But what is clear is that candidates for mayor of the Pristina municipality have not yet decided whether they will participate in the first Crenare Parade in Kosovo, which is organised by the LGBT community, and its supporters.
This will be the first year of the Crenaria Parade, which will begin at 11:30, and will begin at Skenderbeu Square and end at Zahir Pajaziti Square.
The mayor of Pristina said there is no information about the parade in question, he said he would come up with a statement over the next few days after we are informed.
“I haven't got any extra information, I didn't know because I'm campaigning all day, I think we're going to be declared head-on over the next few days. But to wait if we've been invited or what's the matter, Ahmet said about Insider.
While AAK's candidate for mayor, Arber Vladhiu, said he is busy in his campaign but suggested that this question be asked Halil Matosh, as he said he could answer that question.
Please, I'm in my campaign, even if you can call me Halil Matosh, he can answer. Halilin called because I'm in the campaign. I'm in the middle of a fight.
Matoshi is the spokesman of the Kosovo government and for Insider said it is still unknown whether Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj will participate in the parade.
And candidate PDK for Pristina chairman Lirak Celij said he is not informed of this event and that he has not yet made a decision whether he will be part of the parade or not.
I have no day, I honestly don't know. I haven't made any decisions yet about whether I'm going to be part of this”, Celay said.
While Arba Abashi and Selim Pacolli do not respond to Inseder's calls on this subject.
Part of the race for mayor of Pristina is also the Word party. The head of this party via Facebook said it is against this parade.
I don't think this parade needs our people or our country”, Kelmendi said.
However, the LGBTI Parade appears to be one of the topics for which the capital's mayoral candidates will be cautious during public proceedings. Kosovo is considered one of the most homophobic countries in Europe.
