After the holidays, Kurt wrote that it was a commodity for a man devoted to knowledge of its spread, even under brutal occupation.
Today, though, at the time of freedom, university is degenerating corrupt people and dark servants.
Albin Kurti's complete Facebook text:
Today, when two decades of Pristina University student protests took place, we eagerly remember one of the key figures of the time, prof.dr. Ejup Statovcin, the rector of the University of Pristina from 1991, when this university began to function as independent from Serb invaders until 1997, when brutal powers faced demonstrations.
Prof. We remember Statovs well, not just those of us we knew, but anyone who read about his figure. It is a yearning for a man devoted to knowledge of its expansion, even under brutal occupation, today at the time of his freedom when corrupt people and dark servants are degenerating the university.
Prof. Statovci was a true law scientist. He was educated in Zagreb and Ljubljana, at Harvard Cambridge. And he spent his whole life dedicated to students and his classes.
But that is not all. In the most difficult period, when many of his level fled to security elsewhere, international-sized scientist Ejup Statovci chose to stay in Pristina and engage in the university's resumption after students of Albanian educators were expelled in June 1991.
Even under the occupation of apartheid, with prof. Ejupin at the helm, the University of Pristina, was the University of the Republic of Kosovo. In every record, so it was written. He maintained the university's independence, which was crucial for the protests of students who would follow through on which the prof would be put on hand. Ejupi.
Imagine what a sacrifice he made for his country. Can those who, for an outside master, begin to feel that they deserve everything and when they don't get it, get ready to go back out? Can they imagine such a challenge as opening a parallel university to those who do not have the will to limit the consumption of cookie plasma?
Well, there's no other way this place can be. If Ejup Statovci and many others like him had surrendered, we wouldn't be here today. And if we give up today, because we don't want to sacrifice anything, then there won't be tomorrow.
Professor Statovci is a difficult peak for the academy in Kosovo and throughout Albania. During his lifetime, however, he took time to be an activist, to participate in drafting the Cacavnik Constitution, and to run the Free University.
His example is an invitation to each academic, university, and student to activate, to regulate university, city, society, and state, and today there is a great need. Do not leave politics in the hands of enemies of knowledge.
But Professor Statovci's example is also an invitation for those who are already political and social activists to never share their readings and studies in their lifetime. The only antidote to self - betrayal is knowledge, and who doesn't care about learning, is not a good activist.
With deep respect for prof.dr. Ejup Statovci and his family, and with the best memories of his commitment and student protests in 1997, I invite you all to never forget the dates of our historical people.
