The first to try to ensure participation for all citizens in institutional life and the other guarantee that one ethnicity is involved. While court officials estimate that the justice agreement deepens even more the country's ethnic division.
The Justice Agreement reached between the Kosovo and the Serbian side, which began to be implemented after the decree of 40 Serbian judges and 13 prosecutors earlier by President Hashim Thaci, is being deemed unconstitutional by the Kosovo opposition.
Opposition representatives in the country's Parliament have said that under this agreement Kosovo will recognise all acts of parallel Serbian courts in Kosovo from post-war until now and that the names of judges, who have sworn before the president, have been sent from Belgrade.
However, with such statements by opposition MPs, Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has said this agreement has seen the functioning of courts in the north in accordance with Kosovo's laws, writes further “Zer”.
While connoisseurs of legal issues in the country estimate that the justice agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is an agreement that deepens even more the country's ethnic division.
