Kosovo Joint Meeting '% Macedonia next year

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli began his visit to the Republic of Macedonia with the meeting he held with Macedonian counterpart Nikola Dimitrov.
Within the framework of this first official meeting, Pacolli and Dimitrov have agreed in principle, that the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia will hold the meeting between the two governments early next year, is disclosed through a media communiqué.
Such meetings, between the two respective governments, will be targeted, to be held twice a year, and political consultations on preparing topics and agendas will immediately begin.
Both top diplomats have agreed to have closer, informal relations with regular daily contacts, and that Kosovo and Macedonia support each other at the regional level, the path towards Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as at the international level.
“There was a full agreement and mutual commitment on both sides aimed at reaching new agreements from around nineteen different countries, how many already exist between the two countries, and aimed at further deepening economic co-operation, trade exchange and even joint regional initiatives”, Kohanet broadcasts.
In addition, it is further said that new proposals by Kosovo's foreign minister for removing the current obstacles in the circulation of goods and creating a joint customs point and customs terminal, then establishing a Free Economic Zone in between the two countries, establishing a Joint Holding for Railways, Energy Transmission and infrastructure, have been welcomed by the Macedonian side, expressing readiness for further discussions and the necessary co-ordination with the ministries of the line.
In the margin of the meeting, Foreign Minister Pacolli has welcomed co-operation and approach, which Macedonia's new government has decided with the political representatives of the Albanian community in Macedonia, giving a fresh spirit of calming and improving relations between multiethnic communities co-existing in the state of Macedonia.
Following the meeting has also been discussed on dialogue on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as on the question of finding a solution to the name dispute in Macedonia's reports with Greece and both chiefs of diplomacy have expressed commitment and the will for reaching agreements that would have a positive impact on the region, stressing that 2018 should be the European year of the Western Balkans.
