Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has stated several days ago that dialogue with Serbia, which is held on the European Union's mediation, will not continue without the involvement of the United States of America.

So far, the US have not been declared pro or against this Haradinaj idea, which analysts see as appropriate.

Political analyst Nexmedin Spahiu has said that it would be in Kosovo's favour if the US agreed to engage in dialogue.

“Po would be good because Americans are much more objective and practical, so if they agreed to it would be very good to engage them in dialogue with Serbia. With their more involvement it would benefit Kosovo because of Kosovo's creator is America, so in a way it is as if it were included in a father dialogue for the child”, Spahiu said.

Arben Qirez, political affairs analyst, has estimated that some possible scenarios could be predicted about what could happen if the US were directly involved in Kosovo's talks with Serbia.

The US “Anyway has voiced support for the so-called dialogue on normalising relations, leaving the European Union with the leadership of this process. Prime Minister Haradinaj's request, I think, has to do with the lack of good results for Kosovo from this” dialogue, Creesi told Indexline.

According to him, how the US could influence talks with Serbia to have a tangible result in Kosovo's favour is hard to say.

“This because Serbia has long been effectively using the alliance's charter with Russia to benefit as much favour as possible from the West and thus has managed to remain a relevant player for stability in the region and benefit from it politically and economically” has ended Creesi.
