Bradley Grimes has lived in nursing homes since he was seven and spent the last six months sleeping approximately in Midlesbrough's stores.
The 23-year-old social worker told the Teesside Court that the “at least in prison he would have woken up on his birthday and had the warmer”.

Grimes was in court to respond to a four-month suspended prison sentence for a knife and two violations of ASBO, reports the newspaper “Live”. The court also heard how he had a brain tumor “caused by years due to neglect”.
Further details to clarify how the developed tumor was not available by the court at the time of publication.
A judicial liaison officer told Judge Simon Bourne-Arton QC they were trying to help Grimes.

The defense, Aisha Woodwood, told the judge that Grimes had demanded that the court be suspended so that he could be sent to prison.
She said: the only “The only reason he wants is that he finds himself in an impossible situation in what doesn't have a house”. He's been in nursing homes since he was seven and he's fallen into the care system.
Grimes' “The case was postponed until 9 October, leaving him in police custody for his birthday, which is today”, Wadwood said./Periscopi/
