Invited to the evening interview at Ora News, Ceyk also clarified the debate on Article 8 points of the country's Constitution, claiming it was held in 1998 when Kosovo was under Serbian occupation, while today Albania and Kosovo have internal relations between them.
“Beyond the protocol of an interstate relationship, Thaci's request to Meta that Kosovo Albanians massively obtain Albania's citizenship was a climactic requirement of all these voices from businessmen and to citizens who feel surrounded by an isolated wall that Kosovo has for years”.
We need to put aside the report and the emotional plan of request and of what is done between the two brothers. We need to understand that Kosovo and Albania are designed to recognise each other as Albania's states and duty is to help Kosovo empower its citizenship in increasing recognitions, Kosovo's membership in regional and international organisations and, of course, other regional and bilateral issues. Precipitation of all this visit on a single requirement for Albanian citizenship has caused many concerns in bilateral reports, as well as in regional and international relations”.
