The deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly, from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Xhavit Haliti, speaking of the issue of demarcation, has stressed that although he has a completely personal attitude about this topic, confrontation among political camps on this topic will not reveal a winner.
He in an interview for Telegrafi, has said they have a signed Kosovo agreement with Montenegro on demarcation of the border across the street.
On the other hand, according to Halit, Montenegro is a NATO member, and we are saying that we are friends of the United States of America (SHBA) and west, so the rejection of the agreement means a disagreement with a member of this organisation.
If we are friends and claim to be so with these mechanisms, caution should be made in statements, because politics does not take into account many factors that operate inside and outside us. We can make statements today that tomorrow may be empty and barren and that put nothing in the light. We've had a dispute over demarcation, which nearly produced civil war and we've had a huge political clash. There are several issues that must be settled on the basis of political rationality, respecting the interests of Kosovo and the region. You can't insist on something you can't accomplish”, Haliti added. /Telegraphy/
