Saimir Tahiri will be under several hours' protection of the MP's mandate. Today at 11:00 p.m., the Assembly is expected to hand over Tahiri to the police bodies, based on the request of the investigative body. The Rada Crimes Prosecutor published an investigative material for former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri yesterday at noon, accusing him of the criminal act of drug trafficking in passive co-operation and corruption.
These charges against the former prime minister were accompanied by the prosecution, even at the request to the Parliament to lift MP Saimir Tahiri's mandate, to pave the way later for his association by police and control of the residence. This request by the State Criminal Prosecutor understands the meeting of the Council for Order, Mandat and Immunity, led by Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruci. The opposition sometimes addressed Ruci with the request to urgently gather the Council to examine the facts and request of the prosecution body to lift Tahiri's mandate and hand him over to authority. Despite the Socialist Party's demands and Gramoz Ruci themselves found the argument to postpone the meeting for Tahiri, whose name has been firmly coveted by the Habilaj traffickers' file.
Last night, at 18:50 p.m., Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruci announced that the opposition's request would not be met and that the meeting of the Council of Mandates for Tahiri will take place today at 11:00. The Socialist Party appeared to take time to decide how it will act, at a time Prime Minister Rama declared on Facebook that he wants justice to be established. On the other hand, Prime Minister Rama has reacted only to social networks with scriptures, stressing confidence in justice organs. Other SP officials followed this message yesterday in response to the DP's persistent demand not to waste time on Tahiri's “delivery”. During these hours, after publishing the prosecution indictment, Prime Minister Rama received several SP figures in the prime minister. During the afternoon, Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj went to his office, accompanied by several ministers and by SP Secretary General Taulant Balla. On the other hand, Tahir himself by the back of the day was in his apartment at “Sunset”. In a brief pronouncement for journalists who were placed in front of his apartment, Tahiri said that, “you have not seen anything yet”. Tahiri's message is unknown to whom it is addressed, but that was Rama's loving expression to the opposition when it came to power in 2013.
