EU chief in Kosovo Natalia Apostolova has said today that the EU stands close to Kosovo in meeting the criteria on the road to the European Union and that Kosovo cannot lag behind on its European path.
She during her meeting with AAK parliamentary group chief Ahmet Isuffin and Agriculture Commission Chairman Daut Haradinaj expressed her concern over not holding the Parliamentary sessions, as many laws are waiting to be adopted.
Apostolova stressed that the boards of independent agencies should not be the people charged and that their number should be reduced. She stressed that fighting corruption must continue, as it is one of the conditions for liberalisation.
While the chairman of the Commission for Agriculture, Daut Haradinaj, sought EU assistance as they still need it. He said Kosovo still has no law on bread and many other laws, so they need EU assistance. However, there was criticism of the EU Office, where this Office has not been flexible, and has failed to identify certain laws in Kosovo.
He has said that Kosovo has some priorities, such as rule of law and law, education, as well as health.
