According to the Serbian government, which said Masum in Baghdad on Wednesday “highlighted the historic importance of Belgrade-Bagdad co-operation, which is developing without open issues and with mutual pleasure”, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
He “expressed his gratitude for the support of the Republic of Serbia in the fight against terrorism, especially against I SILY, stressing the importance of developing parliamentary co-operation as an important factor in developing general relations between the two countries”.
Furthermore, it “underscored the importance of economic co-operation that should be built on the excellent political relations we have and urged Serbian companies to participate in the reconstruction and development of the Iraqi Republic”.
Dacic also met with Iraqi Defence Minister Erfan al-Hiijali and described the importance of respecting the territorial integrity of Serbia and Iraq and mutual support at the international level.
Daciq met with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, with whom they agreed that economic ties between their countries, as well as co-operation in education, culture and development should be developed.
