The October 22nd local elections by the Central Election Commission are estimated to have gone without any irregularities that would undermine the entire election process, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has indicated about Radio Free Europe.
“For the CEC election day has gone very well, there has not been any irregularities or incidents that would damage the integrity of the election process. In cases where there has been any shortcomings in materials and the CEC has intervened in the short term and sated the situation”, Elez says.
Elez suggests that the counting of balloting has ended at the polls during Sunday evening, until the Counting and Results Centre (QNR) is accepting sensitive election material from all Kosovo municipalities.
“until now, sensitive material has been accepted from a considerable number of municipalities, and the CEC is oriented in announcing final results at a time as quickly as possible”, Elesi said.
He made it known that at the CNR that soon votes on bail will start to be counted -- votes that have come through the mail and votes of persons with special needs.
