For some people, sweating at the gym is not the best way to spend a Friday night.
But, unlike our thinking so far, physical training does not have to be “literal” to achieve the results we want. Sexual activity is as effective as exercise in burning calories, and this is scientifically proven.
But how many calories can you burn during sex?
A study by Montreal University revealed that men burn 101 calories for 25 minutes of sexual activity and women 69 calories.
This is about half the number of calories you would burn if you ran six miles [1.6 km]. Sexual activity could potentially be considered a significant “exercise” and, according to experts, men don't burn more calories because they are more active, but because of their body weight.
Because they weigh more than women, they require more energy for the same exercise and thus burn more calories - not that they do anything more than women, writes Living.al. But before you start practicing, you may need to know that in six minutes your <x0->s are going to burn 21 calories.
