The two candidates for the heads of the Dragas municipality representing the Gorani and Bosniak communities, Admir Sholla and Sheriff Aga, argued on each other's integration in the field of education in Kosovo.
Sheriff Aga from the Vacat Coalition, in Debat Pernimes for Dragasin, said his community has no obstacles to education and called on the Goran community to respect the laws of the Republic of Kosovo.
“I am absolutely waiting when I will understand the goran community that Kosovo is actually an independent state and that the way to integration and improvement is only in accordance with the laws and Constitution of Kosovo”, said Agas.
To that statement, candidate Admir Sholla reacted from JGP, who said they inherited the parallel education system by denying the division of the goran community at the local level.
Just to clarify, we inherited this system, not from yesterday. Serbian language education has been in Kosovo since 1999. At the local level, of course we'll integrate, we don't need the Vaca Coalition to integrate us. We're much more integrated than they are. They've been there for 18 years just as a ruling coalition decoration so we don't need anyone else to integrate us, we know what we should do”, Sholla said.
Sholla, however, made it known that one of his goals if he receives the mandate is the creation of Gora municipality for the Gorani community.
