10 Japanese tour operators and several Japanese media representatives visited Albania over the weekend to get acquainted with our country's tourist, cultural, historical and culinary values.

This trip became possible following turnout for the second consecutive year at the JAT fair EXPO Tokyo 2017 of the AKT, as part of the programme of co-operation with JICA, our embassy in Japan and other regional countries like Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Montenegro.
During two days of the Japanese group's stay in our country, AKT also organised a workshop in the Tirana International Hotel environments, where participants were also many of the best Albanian operators, who operate with various countries in Europe interested also to increase the number of <x0koming” and the Japanese market.
The visit followed with a tour of the capital, where operators visited some of the main hotels in Tiranne, where they introduced themselves with hotel offerings, their capacity and quality of service.
During the evening the Japanese group had the opportunity to degust and traditional provisions of our country near one of the capital's Slow Food restaurants, where Japan's Ambassador to our country Makoto Ito was present.
Albania's cuisine was highly regarded by the audience and named as a strong promotional value that makes the tourist product offered by different Albanian operators even more appealing.
Part of the tour organised by the AK was also a visit to the town of Berat, for which the tour operators, but the Japanese media also expressed maximum appreciation by listing it in key countries to visit for historical and cultural values, as well as for the traditional dishes this area offers, dishes which, along with a summer debut, the audience could enjoy through a visit to the Chobo canton.
These media-friendly tours and foreign operators make it possible to promote Albanian areas and tourist products directly in different parts of the world, aiming at a sustainable and anniversary-long tourism involving every area of Albania.
