Those comments were made by the EU chief in Kosovo at the meeting she had with VV Parliamentary Group chief Glauk Konjufca and three parliamentary commission heads from this party.
Apostolova at this meeting said demarcation with Serbia should be resolved with dialogue.
For demarcation the question is either yes or no, whether it is fair or not we will not discuss it, but I think it is fair, because we have been given a knowledge about these problems and other experiences of EU member states. It means dialogue on all these problems must be resolved, one means how they will make demarcation with Serbia, and that will be resolved with dialogue, while with Montenegro, this should be resolved in the Kosovo parliament”, She said.
The EU chief said that regardless of the form of dialogue, his importance is very important, stressing that dialogue is progress for Kosovo on its path to Europe.
“Sic you have mentioned directly in the things you said during the presentation should be very much involved in the involvement of all ethnicities in Kosovo, but regardless of this can't happen at night and for that reason the Kosovo dialogue, Belgrade-Pristina, is extremely important. I've just heard statements from your party leaders, and I know there are some issues that have yet to be considered or discussed about, but let me address that for us, for the EU, in the dialogue, no matter what form it will have is an important issue and it is an important bridge that can create good neighbourly relations. And would progress Kosovo on its path to Europe”, She said.
Apostolova for Vetevendosje said they are a strong party and that being the largest party in Parliament has the greatest responsibility. While, he said he expects Vetevendosje to be a constructive opposition.
And the head of the Vetevendosje Parliamentary Group, Glauk Konjufca, said there have always been criticism as to the development of dialogue. He said their biggest disappointment is that, according to him, Kosovo is more conceived as an instrument in relation to Serbia.
“Vetevendosje movement has always had its criticism based on arguments that the concept and the framework for which this dialogue develops has much to desire for the state of Kosovo. There is general, popular and civic dissatisfaction with the way the European Union has conceived this process. The main discontent is based on a remark consisting of what we feel is Kosovo increasingly being conceived as an instrument in relation to Serbia, to particularly speed up European integration processes for Serbia. On the other hand, many agreements that have been made in Brussels are considered to have not been the best solution for Kosovo. We know that every negotiation process has its own painful compromises, but I don't really know what compromise Serbia has made so far”, he said.
The Conjufca for Apostolova had one more request, for the Vetevendosje Movement to lead the parliamentary commission to implement the SAA.
While Chairman of the Committee for Legissation Albulen Haxhiu said concern remains the mode of functioning of the Parliament, which she said only one session has been called from the Parliament's leadership.
Also, she said that concern for Vetevendosje remains the government's dependence on Haradinaj's votes from the Serbian List.
The dependence on Serbian List votes for us remains a problem, for the fact that we know that the Serbian List has emerged from a dialogue process with Serbia. Of course, even when it was voted in Kosovo's Parliament for the Haradinaj Government, it has had to wait as Parliamentary MP it had to wait somewhere four hours to come from Belgrade to get permission from Vuciq to vote on Haradinaj's government. When we talk of apprehending the Serbian List army, knowing that constitutional change is needed to make the military, then they object precisely considering the privileges they previously imposed on”, She said.
During the day, EU Chief Natalia Apostolova has also met with the PDK parliamentary group, while the following days she will meet with other parties.
