EU chief in Kosovo Natalia Apostolova has said today that the EU stands close to Kosovo in meeting the criteria on the road to the European Union and that Kosovo cannot lag behind on its European path.
She during her meeting with AAK parliamentary group chief Ahmet Isuffin and Commission for Agriculture Chairman Daut Haradinaj expressed her concern over not holding plenary Assembly sessions as many laws are waiting to be adopted.
Apostolova stressed that, “on the boards of independent agencies should not be the accused people and their number should be reduced. Fighting corruption must continue, as it is one of the conditions for liberalisation”, the KP reports.
AAK parliamentary group chief Ahmet Isufi said they have been delayed in some processes, including the European agenda. Isufi added that those as a party have pledged that they will work for the laws to be met and changed to become standards with Aqui Comunite.
While the chairman of the Commission for Agriculture, Daut Haradinaj, sought EU assistance as they still need it. He said Kosovo still has no law on bread and many other laws, so they need EU assistance.
Haradinaj called the “unfair demarcation of visa liberalisation”, as long as he considered the transformation of KSF into the military a top priority, which he said would definitely take place.
