Vita case, LBK requires urgent publication of analysis results

The League of Kosovo Businesses (LBK) expresses its full support for the Vita production company and calls on the Food and Veterinary Agency and institutions responsible to publish official results of checks and analysis in the milk sector without delay.
The LBK fully supports law enforcement, professional controls and protection of food safety, but opposes any politically motivated or influenced controls. The results should be exclusively professional, independent and free from any political interference or other interest.
Every day late in completing tests and publishing results is causing major damage to the Vita Company, farmers, farmers, processors and the entire milk sector. This uncertainty is undermining local production, jeopardising jobs, affecting the reputation of Kosovo products and jeopardising the hard-earned local and international markets.
Any delay and any such action in practice goes in favour of imported products, weakening the competitiveness of local producers and hitting one of the most strategic sectors of Kosovo's economy.
Therefore, we demand that the procedures be completed urgently, results be published with full transparency and no political influence.
The LBK clearly expresses its opposition to any form of political pressure or institutional spectacle that violates independence of rule of law and creates uncertainty for businesses. The institutional actions should be professional, proportional and law-based.
Don't harm the milk sector. Do not harm livestock and local production. Any delay and any politically influenced decisions harm farmers, Kosovo businesses and pave the way for import at the expense of our economy.
