Tragic in Berat: Entered for refreshment, 15-year-old drowned in the river

A 15-year-old who was working with his father in the field has entered the river to cool and wash, but the river flow has taken him down a few feet.

His father went in to save him, but he took the boy ashore, with no signs of life.

Police and ambulances have gone to the scene, carrying the victim to Morgut of the Berat Regional Hospital, where he will undergo forensic autopsy.

The investigative group at the scene is continuing to explain and document the full circumstances of the event as well as to determine the cause of the drowning.
