Starting without a fight a recapture of Kurti's first meetings with leaders of other parties

Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti met with him of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, and then with the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku.

These were the first meetings between them since the certificate of early parliamentary elections on June 7th, where LVV received 47.13 per cent of the vote compared to 19.44 per cent of the PDK and 16.69 per cent of LDK.

From the first of the Alliance, Ardian Gjini, Kurti had been refused since the start. But what answer did he receive from the other two who visited him?

...if he got one.

The first meeting was held with Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Bedri Hamza. After the end of the meeting, Kurti described it as constructive and in the spirit of willingness to grant Kosovo new institutions, but indicated that no concrete agreements had been reached.

“With PDK chairman Bedri Hamza we first met in this round of these meetings. I thank Chairman Hamza for this meeting, which was the first and constructive meeting, which passed into the atmosphere of the will of interest to give new institutions to Kosovo in line with the will of the people”, Kurti said after the meeting.

And we can't exactly say that we have a concrete result, someone who can share it with the people”.

On the other hand, Hamza made clear after the meeting that the PDK would remain in opposition, but promised that their vote for international financial agreements and other agreements requiring two-thirds of the vote would be pro.

The Kosovo Democratic Party for this mandate is the opposition party, and we want success Mr. Kurti and all those who meet and talk, and give the country institutions ... We will co-operate with all political forces, with all groups within the Kosovo Assembly, and that will be in the interest of Kosovo citizens”, Hamza said.

For all those issues where the interest of Kosovo is, The PDK has witnessed its position. I have promised and reiterated that the PDK vote will be a pro vote for international financial agreements and other agreements requiring two-thirds of the vote, as well as for agreements that are in Kosovo's interest”.

While Kurti yesterday also commented on refusing the invitation from AAK chairman Ardian Gjini.

“LVV is the winner of the elections, even if we're not going to be together in government, we're definitely going to be together in institutions. I don't believe it's okay for a respected party such as AAK to refuse to meet me as prime minister and chairman of the winning party”, he said.

Later in the day, Kurti met with Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, who was in the company of Vjosa Osmani.

After the meeting, Kurti expressed optimism, though he announced that nothing concrete was achieved by learning about other meetings.

It was the first meeting. We have four weeks before the start of the constitutional hearing to elect the Speaker or Speaker of the Parliament, the chairmanship and then the government on the new mandate and president or president. We've discussed all of this, but we still don't have any conclusions or conclusions that we could share with you”, Kurti said after meeting with Abdixhik.

And I'm optimistic about the road forward, I'm hoping that the prevailing rationality will continue to exist at these meetings, so I'm also stressing that it's the first meeting, since there's going to be other times”.

Abdixhiku also positively praised the meeting, suggesting that the parties discussed the need for institutional stability and the avoidance of new elections.

We talked about the necessary institutional stability and the necessary avoidance of future elections, fourth in a row in less than a year and a half, Abdixhiku said.

“We agreed to continue in communication as the only form to avoid new elections”.

He further said a single meeting was not enough to address all topics, but described it as an important step towards further talks.

So...to be continued.
