“Rama, Rama, SPAK you”, protesters gather before SPACE, hand over the indictment for the “The Albanian Files”

A group of protesters in Albania have gathered today in front of the Anticorruption Special Structural Environment, SPAK.

In the secured sights, it is heard how protesters are cheering in choir calls such as “Rama, Rama, SPAK you”. Through this gathering, citizens present have decided to publicly sue what they call the “The Albanian Files”.

According to them, “Albanian Files” is the book containing projects intended to be built in Albania, and this will be the file that will take Prime Minister Edi Rama to prison, Euronews Albani reports, broadcast Periscope.

Activist Siderela Vatnikaj during her speech said the prime minister's resignation is their non-negotiable request, while expressing full support for the SPAK to investigate the prime minister.

“We citizens of Albania and protesters of more than 31 days on the ground, we are here today to provide evidence that, according to us, testifies to the prime minister's worst violations. This book contains 523 different projects. This book contains some of the biggest problems of this government. Rama has avoided public consultation. The 21/24 law is the law that has been adopted due to various projects found in this book years before the law was changed. It has owners who are unaware of the existence of these projects. There is a conflict of interest between the prime minister, architects and businessmen invited because Rama is the head of the KKT and decides to approve these projects. SPAK has our support for the actions so far. We are not here for popular justice, but for the rule of law, where the country's prime minister is treated and investigated like all other citizens”, Vatnikaj said. /Periscope
