Farmers protest before the Ministry of Agriculture, organisers: It was canceled for legal reasons

The protest of Istog farmers, who had been warned to hold before the Ministry of Agriculture in Pristina today, has been postponed for another date due to legal procedures.
The company's general director, “Vita”, Artan Spahija, said the protest has been cancelled because, under legislation in effect, Kosovo Police's permission must be obtained for its organisation at least 72 hours before the hold.
“Yes, it has been postponed. You'll be informed of him in time. For legal reasons today we have been forced to cancel”, Spahija said about Online Economy, report Periscope.
The protest was warned to begin at 11: 00 p.m., where Istog farmers planned to march with tractors and heavy machinery to the capital to protest before the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the organisers' earlier announcement, the protest was intended to voice farmers' dissatisfaction after recent developments in the milk processing plant “Vita” and seek immediate response from institutions responsible for protecting local producers and addressing the problems facing the milk sector.
Organisers have announced that the new date of the protest will be made public over time. /Periscope
