KFOR has also announced that the Kosovo Security Force will also participate in the exercise, in line with its initial mandate for civil protection.

“Golden Sabre 2026” will include the engagement of a considerable number of personnel, vehicles and equipment in the area where the exercise will be conducted, as well as near it and along the main roads around it.

This exercise will test the implementation of capacity, skills and procedures for crisis management in a series of complex security scenarios, including those related to safe treatment and disposal of explosive devices and dangerous materials.
