Zahner: US Ambassador to Kosovo Candidate to Name in Future Weeks

Luke Zahner, senior associate at the Department for National Security and International Policy at the Center of American Progress (Center for American Progress) in Washington and former American diplomats, has declared for the Serbian portal “Kosovo Online” that he doesn't think it's a problem that the White House has not yet no appointment of an ambassador for Kosovo, as the embassy in Pristina functions with full capacity and has a tasked with very qualified work.
Zahner expects the candidate for ambassador to Kosovo to be nominated in the coming weeks or months.
“Embassy operates at full capacity and is very engaged in the field. Actually, there's one in charge of very qualified jobs. Perhaps we will not see major steps the United States would push ahead in terms of Serbia and Kosovo or the region as a whole. But I don't think this will necessarily have a negative impact on bilateral relations in the near period”, the former American diplomat has said.
