(a day ago)The branch of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) in Pec, the one in Lipjan, as well as the LDK's second branch in Pristina have called for the resignation of this party's chairman, Lumir Abdijxhiku.

On the other hand, the LDK branch headquarters in Lipjan, following the meeting held together with the heads of the submarines, has demanded the LDK chairman's resignation, calling this a standard of political responsibility and a reflection act on the message given by citizens through the vote.
In the announcement, the LDK branch in Lipjan has initially expressed gratitude for branch structures, activists and membership for engagement during the election process. According to the post, LDK in Lipjan has passed from 6,338 votes, or 19.40 per cent, in the December elections to 6,455 votes, or 23.60 per cent, in the June 2026 elections.
However, BiH has estimated that the result remains far from expectations and commitment of local structures. According to her, the country's score at the level cannot only be attributed to local structures, but also reflects the situation, organisation, functioning and political capacity of the party at the central level.
Meanwhile, the LDK's second branch in Pristina is also calling for Lumir Abdixhik's resignation from the party chairman, just as such was asked by the Peja and Lipjan branch.
The reaction of this branch is said to be “The Democratic Order of Kosovo is going through one of the most difficult periods in its history.
After successive losses, the LDK is slipping towards political marginalisation, concrete itself to the third position and becoming a party without the right political and statehood. This is an unacceptable reality for Ibrahim Rugova's party and a major damage to Kosovo's own state”.
