Rama defends projects in Saban and Zvrinec: Patriotism is not measured by slogans

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to recent protests against development projects on the island of Saban and in Zvrinec, naming the charges as groundless and questioning the goals of the organisers of the gatherings.
During his statement by Fier in the event for the 35th anniversary of the SP, Rama stressed that Saban has been and will remain the property of the Republic of Albania, clarifying that negotiations with investors for the island's development have been under way for more than two years and have not yet ended, reports the report. According to him, the agreed model envisions that objects that will be built in private ownership, while surrounding spaces will remain state property. He added that the Albanian state would be a party to investment and would benefit revenue from the project.
