Kosovo captures the Spaniard who had kidnapped his daughter and fled Majorka, 6-year-old returns to her mother in good health.

Spanish police have managed to locate a six-year-old girl in Kosovo who was allegedly kidnapped by her father in Majorka two weeks ago. This international operation has culminated in the arrest of her father by Kosovo Police, writes “El Mundo.es”, transmission Express.
As the six-year-old girl is back in Majorca with her mother and is in good health.
The entire operation was called “Ura”, and started after the mother reported to the authorities the disappearance of her daughter.
The girl, who has already returned to the island with her mother, is in good health.
She had told the police that she was sure that her daughter's father had left with her. Since then, movements had begun to track the suspect's movements and locate the girl.
According to the Civil Guard, initial investigations revealed that the escape was planned in advance.
Among the measures taken by the father was the child's hiding in the trunk of a car to get on a ferry from Majorca and then crossing border controls without declaring the girl's presence.
During the investigation, agents discovered the movement of an AirTag device that the minor had hidden in her backpack. However, they discovered that the tracking device was mailed to Morocco, in a maneuver allegedly intended to divert the investigation into a false location.
Investigators also conducted house searches related to the case, examined the images of security cameras, analysed bank transactions and verified sea departures from Mallorca, while reactivating international police co-operation mechanisms.
The judicial authority issued a European warrant and ordered that the suspect be held in custody. Civil Guard managed to rebuild Father's path through different European countries, eventually focusing the investigation on Kosovo.

During this process, agents confirmed that the man had cancelled his bank accounts, erased his profiles in social media, and gradually changed his physical appearance to make it difficult to identify him.
Investigators rebuilt the route followed by Majorka in different European countries, eventually focusing on Kosovo. Furthermore, German police found a vehicle with the same license plate as it used during the escape, strengthening the hypothesis that double or fake plates may have been used.
The co-ordination between the Civil Guard, the judicial authority, specialists from the Central Operational Unit ( UCO ), Spanish Embassy attaché to Berlin and some countries' police authorities made possible the immediate transfer of all information taken to Kosovo security forces.
Finally, on June 24th, Kosovo police announced the arrest of the suspect during a police operation and the whereabouts of the minor, which came under the protection of competent authorities.
Civil Guard stressed the speed of judicial action, international co-operation and the joint work of participating units, which enabled the resolution of a” particularly sensitive” in just a few days and ensuring the protection of minors.
