Pristina becomes the world debate centre for the Special Court, big names from Geoffrey Nice to Tim Judah landing in Kosovo

Tomorrow and tomorrow in Pristina, the biggest conference ever organised for transitional justice and international courts for the Kosovo war will be held, with an emphasis on the Special Court.

On the eve of liberation day, June 10th and 11th, this will be one of the main events dedicated to the Special Court and the instruments of transitional justice.

Among the dozens of names eminents, participants are international names that have shown sharp criticism of the process in the Specialised Chambers in The Hague, where the process of around 6 years is continuing against former KLA founders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi, etc.

Daan Everts, former O's chief, will also speak on various panels The SEU in Kosovo, Sir Geoffrey Nice, former prosecutor against Slobodan Milosevic in The Hague's Tribunal, Robert Bosch, former ambassador of the Netherlands to Kosovo, Nevenka Tromp, Hague Tribunal researcher and many other names that have been broadcast in the past in harsh criticism of the Special Court.

At the conference on various aspects of the media's role in transitional justice issues will also speak famous journalists Tim Judah, the correspondent of the magazine “The Economist”, author Ana Di Lellio, Dan Perry, former director of the agency “Associated Press for Europe”, etc.

The panels will also be the former foreign ministers of Albania, Northern Macedonia and Kosovo, Gent Cakaj, Bujar Osmani and Petrit Selimi respectively, then former British Minister Denis MacShane and former Minister of Cass Reid, who was also the director of the NDI office in Kosovo.

A presentation will also be made by renowned historian Jason Steinhower, who will talk about social networking deninforms that have impacts on historical interpretation.
