Morocco loses two titles before the World, FIFA approves replacements

Morocco's national has received bitter news on the eve of the 2026 World Cup, as two of the team's most important football players, Abbessamad Ezzaalzoul ( Ez Abdi) and Nayef Aguerd have been forced to withdraw from the tournament because of injuries.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has officially approved replacements on the Moroccan representative list. Instead of the damaged players, defender Marwane Saadane and assailant Amine Sbai have been invited, who were already with the team during the preparation phase in the United States.
The absence of Nayef Aguerd is considered a major blow to Morocco's Defense Department. Central defenders have not played since March due to physical problems that prevented full recovery before the championship began.
Even Ez Abde failed to avoid leaving the list, as knee injury suffered during a friendly match resulted more serious than initially expected. After medical examinations, the technical staff decided not to risk its activism.
The two players have been an important part of the success of Morocco's recent years, contributing to the team's historic presentations in the international arena.
Despite significant shortages, coach Mohammed Oahbi will aim to preserve team ambitions in Group C, where Morocco will face Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.
The technical staff is expected to make reshuffles in formation to compensate for the lack of two key football players in the World's challenges.
