Fighting organised crime, these are those arrested in Operation “White Star”

Remzi Rexhepi, Burim Duri, Besim Ismajli, Denis Sharapelli and Ilir Boynik are the five people who were arrested in today's action, 09.06.26, of the Special Prosecutor, led by prosecutor Fatos Ajvazi.

The five detainees have been detained for 48 hours with the special prosecutor's decision under suspicion of criminal acts, participation or organisation of the organized criminal group -- the purchase, possession, distribution, and unauthorized selling of narcotics, as well as money laundering.
During raids on suspected locations, authorities have seized weapons, money, vehicles and electronic equipment allegedly linked to criminal activity.
According to the announcement, six weapons, five rounds, 239 rounds, 9.67 grams of cocaine, and 3518 grams of marijuana seeds were seized. Also, police have seized 7,595 euros in cash, 10 vehicles, one motorcycle, 25 mobile phones, 10 computers, 13 computers. USB, one DVR and 16 hours of hands.
Representatives of EUROOPOL as well as authorities from Belgium, France and the Netherlands who, together with the prosecutor of the case, have been attending the operation.
The Special Prosecutor and Kosovo Police have stated that they will continue institutional co-operation and co-ordinated actions in combating organised crime, narcotics trafficking and money laundering, aimed at strengthening the rule of law in the country.
The file of persons arrested in the preliminary action codenamed “The Broken White” showed how through shipping routes the drugs that were ordered to Iran, Turkey and Ecuador. The match was done by suspected groups already identified by wiretapping on the SkyEC app. The file describes that drugs were originally ordered to states of South America, Iran and Turkey, and then brought to Kosovo to be transported back to European countries.

On the basis of reports in 2021 following an investigation into a case from Belgium and France into a police operation other than drugs and other evidence had also been reached by a server SkyeCC.
