The deal is very close, Tehran reacts: The U.S. truce will be global, including Lebanon

Iran's representative to the United Nations Organisation, Saeed Irrani, has declared that Iran and the United States are exchanging proposals and views in an effort to reach a final agreement through Pakistan's mediation.
According to him, the two sides are working on drafting a memorandum of understanding, though a final text has not yet been reached.
“We are presenting and exchanging views and opinions to reach the final text of a memorandum of understanding through Pakistan. We haven't reached the final text yet, but we are following the case”, Irrani said, according to the Iranian state agency IRNA.
He also voiced optimism that the process could be completed within this month.
According to him, the possible agreement would be accompanied by a wide regional ceasefire.
The truce will be global and will cover the entire region, including Lebanon”, the Iranian representative said.
The statements come at a moment of high tensions in the Middle East, while diplomatic efforts are intensifying to avoid a further escalation of regional conflict.
