The Black Records of June 7th, World's Lowest in History

yesterday's elections in Kosovo broke a historical record. And he wasn't for good.
They marked the lowest percentage of citizens' exit to the polls, since the country holds democratic elections after the war, according to a comparison analysis Kosovo has made.
Only 36.88 percent of the Republic's electoral body participated in the June 7th, 2026 process.
Following that result is the 2007 election score, when they cast their political party preferences 40.09 percent of those eligible to vote in the box. This was calculated to be a surprising figure, not for the better, when it was known that this electoral process was a certain referendum on independence, which was declared just a few months later.
The third lowest percentage of election exits was registered in 2017. The interest in the parliamentary race reached 41.3 percent.
Four years earlier, in 2014, the inclusion of the electorate was 42,63 percent.
The 2019 process resulted in a mobilization of 44.56 percent.
By the end of 2010, the level of engagement was 45.29 percent.
A little higher are December 28, 2025, where turnout reached 45.36 percent.
In the February 9, 2025, this figure was higher, 46.54 percent.
The 2021 result marked a 48.78 per cent rate of voting.
On that scale are those in 2004, when turnout reached 49,52 percent.
The record remains that of the first post-war parliamentary elections held on 17 November 2001. Then 803,796 citizens engaged in the democratic process, producing the highest turnout rate of 64.30 percent.
The low percentage of polling does not necessarily mean that even the number of voters has been. This depends largely on the figure of the electoral body for each process. / Periscope/
