Voter registration deadline outside Kosovo closes today, over 99,000 applications approved

CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi said the period of voter registration application outside Kosovo is continuing on May 6th and will be completed today, on May 17th, 2026.
Based on the data, “from the beginning of this process and so far (day, May 17, 2026, 10:00, via electronic platform http://diapsora.kqz-x.org has been accepted 117,246 registration requirements, of which 99,498 have been approved, while another 7,629 have been refused and 10,059 are pending for review”, Elesi confirmed for Express.
“From 99,498 approved applications, 22,955 Kosovo citizens are registered to physically vote in diplomatic representation, 2,590 are registered to send the checkout package to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo, and 73,953 are registered to send the package with a ballot in the mailbox outside Kosovo”, he said.

The diplomatic representation vote is organised on June 6, 2026, the day before the election day in Kosovo. The vote starts at 7: 00 p.m. and closes at 7: 00 p.m., local time in the current location.
