Valon Murati ironifies with Kurti: He's been running a gun to me.

Political developments in the country, Valon Murati, finds that it is “strange and incredible”, how Prime Minister Kurti is asking him to vote with the reasoning “that the opposition is not letting him work”.

“The most voted man in Kosovo and after independence -- with over 50% of Kosovo's vote and Parliament -- finds that the opposition is not letting him work and that it wants even more votes”, Murati says.

His full response:

They're not letting me work! Or will Prime Minister Godon see him?

Today Prime Minister Kurti has addressed his fellow countrymen with a clear message: sign up to vote, because they are not letting me work! That's weird. Unbelievable. The most voted man in Kosovo, and after independence -- with over 50% of Kosovo's vote and Parliament -- finds that the opposition is not letting him work and that it wants even more votes.

The irony of time seemed to me, and I remembered that in the 1990s, we engaged in organizing the liberation war, believing it was the only way to freedom. Imagine us complaining that Serbia is not letting us get organized for freedom. Or that we are not being left behind by legal pacifist political parties, the absolute majority of which both in Kosovo and Albania, and in all other trains opposed the armed war policy, and therefore most people and public opinion believed on the path of pacifist politics.

Only we were not looking for votes, but support for expanding the organisation of armed resistance. No, we did not complain, even when our friends were imprisoned, killed, and injured. We worked and fought until Kosovo's freedom. And with a critical measure ahead of very little war, especially at its beginning. Incomparably smaller than Prime Minister Kurti in free Kosovo and with all executive and legislative institutions in his hands.

But he doesn't want more votes to work. Such disobedience would have inspired Beckett again, for this requirement for more votes to work resembles the eternal wait for Godo's arrival. Neither does the work come with more votes, nor does Godo appear on the horizon.
