(2 months ago)Kosovo police, in close co-operation with Kosovo Customs, report they have successfully carried out an operation at the border crossing point Hani of Elez, preventing a case of undeclared gold smuggling.
Today, around 16:10, on the basis of intelligent information, “has been detained for control on the second line, a Serbia regular line bus, North Macedonia, led by a Serbian citizen (M.L.)”, police report.
During the detailed search, “in a passenger's bag (J.H.) various gold ornaments (dependent and rings) have been discovered, hidden in a closed bag. Also, several hand rings and a gold medallion” have been found hidden in his jacket.
The total weight of gold seized is 129.76 grams. The same was not declared and confiscated by the customs authorities for further procedures, while the value will be determined by relevant Kosovo Customs units, the report said.
