Trump: We Can Accept a 20-year Ban of Iran's Nuclear Programme

US President Donald Trump has declared he can support an agreement that would halt Iran's nuclear activity for a 20-year period, stressing that guarantees from Tehran must be reliable and applicable.
“20 years are enough. But their level of guarantee... should be a real period of 20 years”, Trump said during a statement to the media.
The American leader's comments come at a time of constant tension over Iran's nuclear programme and international efforts to reach a new agreement on limiting Tehran's atomic activities.
Trump did not provide concrete details on the possible form of the agreement, but his statement suggests a more flexible approach compared to previous tough attitudes towards Iran.
The issue of the Iranian nuclear programme remains one of the main topics in American foreign policy and relations between Washington and Tehran.
Otherwise, the U.S. and Iran have long since reached an outright ceasefire after weeks of war. /Periscope/
