Special Court: 7 charged have accepted financial assistance from us to pay their lawyers

The Special Court through a post on the official page at “X” has written about financial assistance offering to pay the accused's defence teams when they can't cover expenses.
The Hague has made it known that seven of the accused have accepted such assistance from the Court, but haven't indicated the names.
Article 21 of the KSF Supreme Court Law guarantees the presumption of innocence for a defendant and lists other rights offered to a defendant throughout the trial process. That includes the right to be represented by a lawyer elected by you during the trial. The KSF Supreme Court has a legal aid scheme if a defendant cannot afford to pay for his defence”, the statement said.
