Russia hits the complex where Albanian Ambassador to Kiev, Hoxha: Unacceptable, Russian ambassador to Albania called for explanation

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs in Albania Ferit Hoxha has reacted sharply after the recent Russian ballistic missile attacks and fears of civilian targets in Ukraine, revealing that the residential complex where Albanian Ambassador to Kiev lives during the bombing has also been hit.

In a post on the social network X, he described the attack as a serious and unacceptable escalation, while stressing that Albania will continue to stand by Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.

Minister Hoxha's statement to X

Albania strongly condemns another large-scale brutal attack with ballistic missiles and fears launched last evening by Russia to civilian targets in Ukraine, in a total disregard for human life and dignity.

This time, the residential complex where Albania's ambassador in Ukraine resides was hit, putting his life in serious danger. This is unacceptable!

Meeting civil areas and putting diplomatic personnel at risk represents a serious escalation and another grim reminder of the human cost of Russia's continued aggression, reports TCh, broadcast Periscope

This Russian-elected war has lasted too long. For more than four years since the widespread illegal invasion, Russia has been constantly targeting energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and homes throughout Ukraine. However, it has failed to break the courage, determination, endurance, and strength of the Ukrainian people.

Russia is not winning, it is only killing, promoting suffering and destruction.

We repeat our call to Russia to immediately terminate these attacks, end the fight against Ukraine, fully respect international law and return to negotiations.

Albania will continue to stay close to Ukraine and reiterate its firm support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. Those responsible for these attacks must be held accountable.
