Railway transport on alert: Travelers get scarce, goods don't move

According to the communiqué, in railway transport, the number of travelers in March 2026 was 6 844, which represents a reduction of 5.1 % compared to the same period in 2025. But no activity was registered for transportation of goods across the railway this month.

In air transport, the number of flights accomplished was 1, 082, or 1,7 % more than in March 2025, while the number of travelers was 338 528, showing an increase of 5.9 %

In the telecommunications field, the number of fixed phone users was 69 418, with an increase of 2.8 %, while traffic accomplished fell to 3.6 %. Submission mobile phone users were 1 523 630, while those under contract were 321 455, representing growth of 2.31 % and 2,42 % respectively.

Air Transport

By March 2026, the number of flights performed was 1,802, or 1.7 % more than in the same period last year. While, the total number of travelers was 338 528 or 5.9 % more than in the same period last year (March 2025).

Transport Ironward

By March 2026, the number of railroad travelers was 6 844 or (-5.1 %) less than the same period in 2025. But goods transported across the railway were not available this month.

Fix Phone

In March 2026, the number of users on the fixed phone network was 69 418 with an increase of 2.8%, compared to the same period last year. The traffic accomplished (in minutes) was 1,881 577, with a drop of (-3,6 %), compared to the same period last year.

Mobile Phone

By March 2026, the number of prepaid users (Prepaid) was 1,223 630, or 2,31 % more than in the same period last year. While, the number of contract users (Postpad) was 321 455 thousand or 2,42 % more than in the same period last year.
