Eight police officials honoured for courage and heroism

Eight Kosovo police officers, highly praised for their work in the service of citizens
They, with the recommendation of General Director Gazmend Hoxha, have today accepted “Medal of Saving Life”, in recognition of their extraordinary courage, professionalism and dedication during the interventions for saving human lives.
This was made known through an announcement from the PK.
Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svechla praised the human and noble act of police officials, stressing that they, at risk of their lives, gave meaning to the Kosovo Police Mission.
I am so happy to be here today together to honor the work of eight of our police officials, who with their act of human and noble, at risk to themselves, gave meaning to the Kosovo Police Mission. These acts prove that, in addition to high professionalism, our police members also carry huge human values”, he said.
According to Svechla, the actions of police officials are evidence of Kosovo Police's steadfast dedication to citizens, especially at critical times when seconds distinguish life and death.
Heroic Act of Courage and Humanism
Until the first body of order, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, described police officials' intervention as an extraordinary act of courage and humanity, stressing that they did not hesitate a moment to act in saving human lives.
Your bold and professional actions are a good example and a great source of inspiration for all police officials who maintain this uniform throughout the country. You proved that the PK's uniform is not just an official robe, but it carries a human mission and a great responsibility to citizens and country”, director Hoxha stressed.
At the end of the ceremony, it was stressed that Kosovo police continue to remain among the most trusted institutions in the country, thanks to the dedication and readiness of its officials to serve under any circumstances. /Periscope
