Police alert: A single click is pouring bank accounts out to citizens

Kosovo police have raised the alarm for increasing cases of financial fraud through phone messages (SMS), appealing to citizens to pay maximum attention to suspicious links sent to their phones.
According to the Prizren Regional Police Directorate's announcement, a recent increase in cases where citizens accept false messages is warned that their bank accounts will be blocked unless they take immediate action.
These messages include a suspicious link in which citizens are required to provide personal and bank records. After the introduction of the data, unauthorized persons can access the victims' bank accounts and receive their financial resources.
Police call on citizens not to open and click on unknown links accepted through SMS or emails, as well as not to share passwords, identification codes or bank data on unsafe platforms.
Similarly, authorities have demanded that each suspected case be immediately reported to the police in order to prevent other frauds and identify responsible persons.
