Kosovo, Turkey sign military agreements, about 4m euros for KSF

Acting Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia has indicated that Kosovo and Turkey have signed the Military Financial Co-operation Agreement in a step aimed at strengthening and further security capacities.
According to him, the agreement has been reached during a meeting with Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güller.
“Today, along with the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Yaşar Güler, we signed the Military Financial Co-operation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Republic of Turkey”, Macedonia has declared.
He stressed that this agreement testifies to the high level of partnership between the two countries.
“The Agreement represents a clear testimony to our strategic partnership and common readiness to further strengthen co-operation concrete and long-term”, he said.
According to Macedonia, under this agreement, Turkey will provide considerable financial support to Kosovo.
“In this context, the Government of the Republic of Turkey will support the Government of the Republic of Kosovo with 200,000.00.00 TL (two hundred million Turkish lira, or about 4m euros), with the aim of empowering the capacities of the Kosovo Security Force and its further institutional and professional advancement”, he has stressed.
In the end, he added, this co-operation aims to contribute to stability and peace.
This co-operation clearly reflects the high level of our relations and the shared will to bring them further into the service of peace and stability”, Macedonia concluded.
