Kos came to Kosovo for the first time since taking office in 2024. It had planned several times to come, but because of political developments in the country, it had postponed the visit.
But again, Kos came at a time when the country has been ruled out, while the Presidency Government is in office. While extraordinary elections will be held in June.
Kos said many reforms have stalled due to the repeat elections, and Kosovo must take steps after a lost year in 2025.
It is important that after the new Parliament is made, political leaders in Kosovo join and establish all institutions, including the election of the new president through compromise and ending this long institutional stalemate”, she said.
Kos at the conference said that in Europe there is no security without Kosovo and said the country has European perspective, but that it must be successful in implementing reforms and in dialogue with Serbia. /Periscope
