O V L- KLA: Pushing the decision for Thaci and others a serious blow from The Hague to respond to funding countries

The KLA war veterans' organisation has reacted today through a communique for the media, saying it considers delaying the decision for former KLA leaders in The Hague as another serious blow to justice and fundamental human rights.
“Gati six years of detention without a final decision is not procedure. It's punishment without bias. No court financed in the name of democracy can normalise such treatment against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, whose war opened the way for Kosovo freedom and citizenship”, it is said in response.
According to the OVL, the delay deepens an unacceptable injustice and erodes the credibility of any institution that claims to advocate rule of law.
The dignity of the accused, of their families, and of the people they served, cannot be held hostage to endless delays. We demand that democratic states finance and support this court act immediately. They should not allow the continued violation of the rights of those men whose country does not have there, but close to their families and people”, it is said in response.
