KFOR monitors explosive operation in Kosovo

Operators for removing NATO Mission Blasting Tools in Kosovo, KFOR, from Austrian and Romanian contingents, has conducted a security inspection during an explosion in a stone operation near Kacanik.
According to KFOR's announcement, the event has been realised under the co-ordination of joint KFOR headquarters engineers and in close co-operation with mine explosives inspectors from the Independent Commission for Mine and Mines (ICMM).
KFOR has stressed that this regular commitment testifies to continued commitment to co-operation with local institutions, strengthening partnerships and creating a safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo.
Mission NATO recalled that it continues to implement its mandate, contributing to security and freedom of movement in Kosovo, in close co-ordination with Kosovo Police and EULEX. /Periscope/
