Iran has executed two other individuals on charges of “spiration for Israel”, while a new wave of executions continues in the country.
This development comes after the head of Iran's judiciary rejected international pressure to prevent executions, saying authorities would show no “any tenderness” in executing sentences.
According to Iranian media, Yakub Karimpour and Nasser Bakarzadeh were executed after being sentenced for co-operation with Israel.
The Iranian judiciary claimed Carimpour had “effectively co-operated” with Mossad during the June 12-day war of 2025, broadcasting sensitive national information to Israel's intelligence service, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.
Their death sentences were supported by Iran's Supreme Court.
Human Rights Activists' News Agency (HRANA) had earlier warned of the imminent execution of the double.
In recent weeks, in parallel with the American and Israeli military attacks, Iranian authorities have executed a considerable number of prisoners charged with asylum. /Periscope
