KFOR for joint exercise with the police, E ULEX, KSF AME: Tested implementation of capabilities and capabilities in crisis management

KFOR has provided details about the joint exercise realised with EULEX, the Kosovo Police, the Emergency Management Agency, known as the 202650 Golden House.
KFOR stressed that the KSF's person has also participated in the exercise, and that the exercise has tested the implementation of capacity, capabilities and crisis management procedures in a series of complex security scenarios, including those related to safe treatment and annihilation of explosive devices and dangerous materials.

On July 2nd and 3rd 2026, NATO-led mission personnel to Kosovo (KFOR), the European Union for Law Rule Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Kosovo Police (PK) and Emergency Management Agency (AME) held joint training activities under exercise” The Golden Sword2026.
The exercise was held in the training zone of the Vrelo Camp in Pristina. It tested the implementation of capacity, capabilities and crisis management procedures in a series of complex security scenarios, including those related to the safe treatment and disposal of explosive devices and dangerous materials.
Kosovo Security Force personnel (FSK) participated in the exercise, in line with its initial mandate for civil protection.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999, to contribute to a secure environment for all citizens living in Kosovo, as well as to guarantee freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Law Rule in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective roles as security responders.
